Benji Schwimmer & Nicole Clonch @ US Open Swing Dance Championships were the 1st place winners in the showcase division in 2015. Benji Schwimmer is the son of the famed dancer, teacher, promoter, Buddy Schwimmer. He lives in Redlands, California. Benji has been dancing since he was a toddler.

The U.S. Open Swing Dance Championships is the premier West Coast swing convention in the world. It takes place yearly during the Thanksgiving holiday in Burbank, California (at the Los Angeles Burbank Airport Marriott in 2015). The U.S. Open Swing Championships celebrated its 34th year hosting the best swing dancers in the world in 2015. It includes West Coast swing dance workshops by top notch swing dance professionals including well known names like Jordan Frisbee, Tatianna Mollmann-Bennett, Kyle Redd, Sarah Vann Drake, Benji Schwimmer, Ben McHenry, Cameo Cross, Robert & Nicola Royston and many more.
The U.S. Open Swing Dance Championshiops was founded in 1983 by Jack Bridges, whose vision was to offer an open swing competition for swing dancers around the world featuring all the different styles of swing dancing including Lindy Hop, Shag, Carolina Shag, Hand Dancing and East Coast swing. Jack Bridges sold the US Open in 2000 to a group of 12 share holders who run it currently. The U.S. Open Swing Dance Championships offer over $50,000 in cash and prizes and is a member of National Association of Swing Dance Events (NASDE), World Swing Dance Council (WSDC).
