A West Coast Swing classic routine performed at the U.S. Open Swing Championships 2011 by Brandon Detty and Yvonne Dodson. West Coast swing is dancers dance for its freedom of expression for the dancer. This was Brandon’s first time entering the prestigious U.S. Open swing championships in classic division.

The U.S. Open Swing Championships are held yearly in Los Angeles, California. It is the premier West Coast swing competition in the United States. In addition, it has attracted the best in the world West Coast swing dancers for decades.

The professional classic division prohibits lifts and drops where both feet leave the floor. Whereas, the showcase division requires a certain number of aerials, lifts and drops.
